Njordr Offshore Wind is planning an offshore wind farm in the Gulf of Bothnia located approximately 55 km southeast of Luleå, 60 km east of Piteå and 70 km northeast of Skellefteå.

The wind farm is planned to consist of up to 83 wind turbines with a maximum total height of 330 meters. Expected production from the wind farm is 5.0 TWh per year, which corresponds to the electricity usage of just under 870,000 households with a consumption of 6,200 kWh per year (Energy Agency 2012). This production will be a significant addition to the region. The wind farm is expected to be in operation around 2032-2033.

Status

The consultation procedure with relevant authorities and other stakeholders begins in December and continues until 28/2 2023.
